Turaco Treetops is located in a rain forest near the lush and breathtaking Kibale National Park. Guests will enjoy the natural luxury of this forest lodge, taking in the stunning views over the snowcapped Rwenzori Mountains. This lodge hosts the ideal location for adventures like chimpanzee or primate trekking, guided nature and swamp walks, and exploring the incredible landscape. On the Turaco Treetops grounds, guests will catch sight of many of the species that inhabit the Kibale Forest, including primates like Bush Babies, Black and White Colobus monkeys; many butterflies; and of course birds like the Great Blue Turaco for which the lodge is named.
At the main lodge, rooms and cottages are built for comfort and let you soak up nature at the same time. To minimize its ecological footprint, the lodge is powered by solar and takes care of its surroundings - rejuvenating degraded forest areas around the lodge, local sourcing of materials and products, and renouncing single use plastics. The main lodge hosts a restaurant, lounge with cozy fireplace, and an outside terrace. WiFi and charging docks are available inside the main building for guest use. Guests will also enjoy a swim in the refreshing outdoor pool after a full day of adventures.
The guest rooms are decorated in modern luxury that marries modernity with a traditional African style, using clean lines with wood and other natural materials. The rooms feature balconies that allow guests to enjoy a unique jungle experience from the comfort of their room.
