Ololo Safari Lodge is situated on 20 acres of lush gardens on the edge of the Nairobi National Park. Ololo was originally built as a traditional family farmhouse but has been beautifully converted into a lodge that showcases classic African style and warmth, and exudes homey hospitality. It seamlessly combines classic safari living with the full-service and comfort of a luxury hotel.
Enjoy uninterrupted views of Nairobi National Park from the comfort of the lodge’s spacious verandas. The surrounding gardens provide shelter for many of the 500 bird species of the national park, and four of the Big 5 members can frequently be spotted from Ololo’s main terrace (there are no elephants here).
Ololo makes a great basecamp to explore the surrounding sites. You have easy access to Nairobi National Park via the lodge’s private footbridge over the Mbagathi River, or on afternoon and morning game drives. Ololo Safari Lodge takes great pride in its relaxed and welcoming style, as well as their fantastic meals prepared with fresh ingredients from its own ‘shambas’ (vegetable gardens).
