The Cheetah Conservaion Fund is a great project helping the worldwide conservation of cheetahs. Namibia is referred to as the "Cheetah capital of the world" and a visit or volunteer project at the CCF is both interesting and helpful to the survival of this beautiful cat.
~ Mango Opinion
The cheetah is Africa's most endangered cat. The Cheetah Conservation Fund helps to research and educate about cheetah conservation in their natural habitat. They work on implementing strategies to help cheetahs survive and to stop ranchers from killing so many of them. At their model farm, you will learn about their goat milk, cheese and ice cream production as well as their guard dog program. This program brings up Anatolian Shepherd dogs to become protectors of their herds to help livestock farmers to stop seeing cheetahs as a threat to their farms. You'll have a chance to meet the Cheetah Ambassadors. Your work could be helping out on the working farm, building fences for the new black rhino enclosure or wildlife counts at local watering holes.
The Babson House accommodates up to six guests in luxurious and spacious surroundings. Guests can enjoy sundowners on a private veranda over-looking the spectacular Waterberg Plateau. Of course, cheetahs are never far away. While guests lounge in the living room, a private chef will prepare a special meal. As the sounds of the African night fill the darkness, visitors will sleep in sumptuously furnished bedrooms, each of which has its own spacious bathroom. This is true luxury in the midst of stunning natural surroundings. Best of all, the beautiful cheetahs are the guests neighbors.
