Located on ancient elephant migratory routes and perched high amongst majestic tree canopies, the Nambwa Tented Lodge is a perfectly immersive and sumptuous accommodation. Honoring the elephants’ right of way, a timber walkway, towering above these gentle giants, meanders through the trees and joins the ten luxurious tented suites of exquisite comfort. Tastefully decorated with natural colors and evoking a gentle balance of serenity, the decadently spacious tented suites open completely and emanate a feeling of vastness and opulence.

The main feature, and the heart of the lodge, is the majestic viewing deck. Equally appreciated during the day and at night, you will be able to enjoy “open to sky” dining and a large seated firepit with rewarding views of the floodplains below. These floodplains are often the playground for large herds of elephants, buffalo and plains game that later seek refuge and security under your tented suite for the night. Here within the Bwabwata National Park, inside Africa’s largest conservation area, it is known that around 80,000 elephants roam these plains. It is a birders paradise with 450 bird species to identify!

Nambwa’s elegant Safari Lounge creates a perfect fusion of energy and relaxation to unwind at the end of your day. A library with a mixture of vintage artifacts and books, as well as small relics that were found onsite while building the lodge in this historical military area, all encourage touch and exploration.
