Kibale Forest Camp is located just outside the southern region of the Kibale Forest National Park. The land is lush and vibrant, providing the perfect escape into a green oasis. The camp borders the Magombe Swamp, which is known for the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Here you can capture the thrill of hearing a howling Black and White Colobus, listen to the Wood Owl calling his partner, get absorbed by forest smells and sounds, spot primates swinging through the trees, and observe rare birds and beautiful butterflies fluttering around.

You will stay in one of the twelve self-contained safari style tents, each with a private ensuite bathroom featuring a flushable toilet, dressing room, and hot water shower. Each of the tents has its own private veranda, perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee and observing the natural wildlife. On site there is a bar and restaurant in a main building. The building is a large wooden, grass-thatched, open-air lodge. The open structure blends perfectly in the surroundings and overlooks a lush colorful garden. It is in this cozy restaurant that your meals will be served.

While staying at the Kibale Forest Camp, you will certainly plan to explore the Chimpanzee Trekking available. The Kibale Forest is the best destination in the whole of East Africa for seeing the chimpanzees. Other primates like the Red-Colobus Monkeys and Mangabey might also be spotted. The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is rich in biodiversity and beautiful scenery. The wetland is a birder’s paradise as it is home to about 138 species!
