The Park Hyatt Zanzibar is a welcome addition to the Stone Town hotel scene. It is modern, luxurious and offers the standards of a well-known International hotel. It is however a well-known international hotel, so we tend to recommend more unique options if travelers have interest.

Park Hyatt Zanzibar is strategically located on the beachfront, in the heart of Stone Town. The hotel is within walking distance of Forodhani Gardens, the Old Fort and Palace Museum. After a day of exploring the rich history of Stone Town, you can relax in the ocean pool or indulge in a spa treatment. There are several outstanding choices for dining from casual to elegant which show off the region's cuisine.
Park Hyatt Zanzibar is housed in two buildings, one of them Mambo Msiige, a building steeped in history, grace and mystique with a story dating back to the 17th century. A typical Zanzibari mansion, centered around a peaceful courtyard, a retreat from the summer heat, Mambo Msiige is a unique gem with architecture that embraces Swahili culture alongside Arab, Persian, Indian and European elements. The new and repurposed built Zamani residence connects to Mambo Msiige, blending the historic with contemporary. The hotel features 67 luxuriously appointed guestrooms, including 11 suites, that seamlessly blend understated elegance, contemporary style, modern technology and timeless regional accents. Standard guestrooms range in size from 45 square metres to 50 square metres and ocean front rooms feature spectacular, picturesque views of dhow harbours and the Indian Ocean.
At the end of your day, enjoy the sunset over the Indian Ocean and watch the Dhows glide through.
