Ilala is a sweet and affordable family run hotel in a great location within the town of Victoria Falls. We really like the bar and pool area as well as Palm Restaurant for dinner. Ilala Lodge is a great option for travlers looking to save their splurges for the safari.

Ilala Lodge offers distinguished yet affordable accommodation in a gracious and secluded ambiance. The decor evokes a bygone era of adventure and the quest of discovery in Africa. The hotel is ideally situated and is the closest to the Victoria Falls as well as the town center. The National Park borders the front of the property and wild animals often graze on the hotel lawns with the spray of the falls in the background.
Ilala Lodge offers 73 rooms. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with separate shower, air conditioning, overhead fan and satellite TV and are served early morning tea/coffee and a fruit basket. The rooms are spacious with railway sleeper teak furnishings and patio doors leading onto either open lawn or a balcony where you are afforded a view of the spray of the falls from the upper level rooms. The Palm Restaurant offers superb cuisine while you relax and enjoy the atmosphere. It serves all meals, an impressive wine list and cocktails. Dining outside under the African night sky with the sound of the mighty waterfall makes for a romantic evening to be remembered.
There are many thrilling activities available to explore the Victoria Falls area, such as white water rafting, nearby game drives, boat cruises, hiking trails and horseback riding.
