This camp is very special. The tents are set right on the River. From Room #1 you can watch a pod of hippos from your bed! It's magic! Access to the camp is over a small walking bridge so not for people with a fear of heights.

Ngare translates to ‘by the river’ in the Masai language. Hugging the banks of the Mara, Ngare Serian is tiny and intimate. Access to this camp is by rope bridge, reinforcing the sense of isolation. Ngare Serian is perfect for people who value tranquility and privacy.  Each of the four tents are set on hardwood decking above the Mara River with views over the Oloololo Escarpment.  In addition to the en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water, flush toilet and shower in each tent, there is a  luxurious copper bathtub built into the veranda decking with an incredible view to soak in the sights and sounds from the bush.  Freshly prepared meals are either served in the open air shaded by Serian Camp trees with spectacular views of the river or in the formal dining area. Lush trees branch out over the camp, creating a sense of intimacy with the beautiful natural setting.

Ngare is nestled in the private Mara North Conservancy and is also perfectly positioned to take advantage of their own 1,500 acres of exclusive conservation area.  Activities include twice daily wildlife drives, guided bush/nature walks, bush breakfasts, sun-downers, local cultural & community visits and hot air balloon safaris over the plains (extra cost). The area around camp is becoming increasingly busy, but this is offset by the fact that Serian vehicles, which are private for every group, range far and wide to give the best guest experience and by the fact that the camp has a private walking concession on the west bank of the river.
