The Dead Valley lodge is situated inside the Namib-Naukluft Park, between the Seriem and Elim Dunes on the road leading to the world-famous Dead Valley at Sossusvlei. From the Lodge, guests can enjoy a panoramic view of the Namib Desert.
The lodge offers twenty free climate-controlled luxury tented chalets each with a panoramic view of the Namib Desert with towering red sand dunes, rugged mountain ranges, and arid desert savannahs. Games drives are offered in the mornings and afternoons to Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyons.
The Namib-Naukluft Park is one of Africa’s largest parks. Apart from the spectacular red dunes in Sossusvlei, other Park highlights include Deadvlei, with its white clay pan sprinkled with dead acacia trees, and the less-visited Naukluft Mountains, where you can soak up views of deep gorges and crystal-clear springs.
Another must-see is the Sesriem Canyon, which has been breathtakingly carved out by the Tsauchab river. The Canyon is only two metres wide at certain points, with one water-filled portion attracting plenty of local wildlife.
