Mazike Valley Lodge, a small, private and exclusive lodge has undergone an extensive refurbishment! Perched up on the walls of Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP), the opulent cottages of the lodge offer breathtaking views of the vast park, the Maramagambo Forest and the Kazinga Channel in the horizons. The cottages are spacious with king or twin beds, elegant dug in bathtubs, showers, flash toilets, vanities and wash basins with hot water throughout the day.
The Kyambura Gorge is a verdant, rich tropical forest home to an amazing array of wildlife and birdlife. Home to a variety of primates that include chimps, red tailed, white and black Colobus, vervet monkeys and baboons. You will spend time visiting the habituated chimps for tracking. Although the gorge doesn’t have a huge number of the chimps, guests can complement their tracking in Kibale National Park where we have bigger numbers of chimps.
Another highlight here will be the Kazinga Channel Boast Cruise. The Kazinga Channel is a 40 km channel that links Lake Edward to Lake George. Along with a great diversity of wildlife to see here, the channel supports the biggest number of Hippos in the whole of Africa.

Just a stone’s throw from the ‘center of Africa’ – being halfway between Cairo and Cape Town – Arusha’s Villa Maua (House of Flowers) could not be more ‘central’ than its prime location in the safari capital of Northern Tanzania. With just nine, spacious and tastefully decorated garden rooms, this elegant, Cape Dutch inspired, boutique property combines the benefits of being in the ‘center of town’ with also being sited in one of the historic residential areas of the city.
Ideal for pre or post safari stays or those visitors with historic or commercial interests in the city, the cozy warmth of Villa Maua creates an ambiance of welcome home-style hospitality complete with a fully stocked licensed bar and restaurant. The fully staffed kitchen is prepared and ready to produce breakfast, lunch and dinner and whatever else you might feel like in-between times. Enjoy your delicious meals inside in the cooler months or on the terrace, in the garden or around the pool for most of the year.
All the rooms at Villa Maua have private verandas overlooking the lush tropical gardens. Each of the air conditioned, en-suite rooms is tastefully furnished with sprung mattresses, high quality linens and satellite televisions and come complete with a full range of ‘Amarula’ amenities.
