Reteti House is located in northern Kenyan on the edge of the Mathews Mountain Range. This is a beautiful and dramatic 850,000 acres of pristine wilderness. The owners and people of this area are the Samburu. Sarara means 'meeting place'. This property is special for the remote and dramatic landscape, but it is really about the people. Visitors have a rare opportunity to spend time with the local Samburu who still live in their age-old traditional lifestyle and are barely touched by the modern world. Opportunities range from a visit to the century-old ritual of the singing wells to visiting a manyatta (traditional homestead) in the afternoon as the animals come in for the night.

The secluded house is for exclusive use only with 4 standalone en-suite rooms. This off-the- grid masterpiece is entirely eco-friendly relying on only solar power. With every precaution and expense taken to preserve the natural habitat surrounding it, Reteti House is an incredible experience.

In addition to cultural opportunities, there are lots of animals around to explore on foot, camel or by vehicle-based drive. You can visit the stables to feed the orphan animals like zebra, giraffe and gerenuk, hike a beautiful rock for a picnic breakfast, or visit the daily feeding at the Retiti Elephant Orphanage.
