Kirkman's Kamp is set on prime real estate in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, home to some of the best wildlife concentrations in Africa. Seeing the Big 5 is a given. The camp design harkens back to the 1920s with its Africa Homestead style.

Located high on a ridge of the world-famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve, overlooking the magnificent Sand River, lies Kirkmans Kamp. Sharing an unfenced boundary with the Kruger National Park, the reserve benefits from a great diversity of wildlife – although it is particularly well known for its prolific leopard sightings. Game drives traverse an area of 26 000 acres and strict vehicle limits at sightings ensure the exclusivity of an up-close game viewing experience.
Step back in time, into the classical ambiance of this original 1920s homestead. Enjoy spectacular views of the unspoiled landscape that surrounds the Sand River from each of the lodge’s 12 guest cottages. Here, old meets new; with antique-styled beds seamlessly blending with modern comforts and claw foot bathtubs, fireplaces and private verandas creating a warm and inviting ambience. Immersed in the bushscape is a rim-flow swimming pool with views of the Sand River. Delectable tea is served on the rolling lawn, and breakfast and lunch are served on shady verandas. Dinner is delightful affair, where mouth-watering Pan-African menus can be enjoyed in a boma or candlelit bush setting.
Unique handcrafted items are sold in the Safari Shop and a sala offers massages and beauty treatments. Our WILDChild programme is designed especially for children visiting our safari lodge and is filled with fun. Choose from a variety of exciting activities such as twice-daily game drives, interpretive bush and nature walks, photography lessons, birdwatching, star gazing, private and photographic safaris, and a game of tennis.
