Didn't stay here due to flight problems. Stayed at sister property next door which was very nice.Had HUGE room with upstairs downstairs. Gorgeous setting.

Le Relais de la Reine is a charming hotel, perfectly integrated into the mass of the Isalo ruiniform, built in a park of more than 40 hectares, along a small river. This spectacular hotel is completely set into the rocks and its isolation in a great site creates an atmosphere of tranquility to relax and rest in complete comfort. It offers all the comforts of a modern hotel: pool, tennis, equestrian center, private airfield, 4x4 vehicle hire and transfers. The elegant restaurant features a huge veranda, beautifully presented food and efficient service.
All of the 37 guest rooms have modern en-suite bathrooms, room safes, desks and comfortable beds with mosquito nets. The two luxury suites have cozy fire places, small lounges and a large soaking bath with robes.
There are many things to do while there: visit Isalo National Park to hike or the natural swimming pool. It is a true oasis with fringed palms, cool welcoming water and a cascading waterfall. If lemur sightings are on your list, then go to Canyon des Singes to see Ring-tailed Lemur and Verreauxs Sifaka in dense vegetation along the streams. Follow the river up the canyon to picnic and stop for a swim. This is a perfect one day excursion. For bird-watching, stop by Zombitse Forest National Park where miles of easy walking trails take you through the lush greenery teeming with bird-life.
